3. Fill a row or column to blast it. The moment a horizontal row or vertical column is completely filled, every block in it bursts and those cells open up again. Rows and columns both count — diagonals don't.
4. Chain combos for bonus points. Clearing two or more lines with one placement — or clearing lines on several moves in a row — multiplies your score.
5. Keep the board alive. When all three tray shapes are placed, three new ones appear. The round ends only when none of your remaining shapes fit anywhere on the board.

Know your block shapes

• Keep the board under half full. The emptier the board, the more shape combinations you survive. If blocks are piling up, spend a tray purely on clearing, even if the points are modest.
• Work from the edges inward. Blocks parked along walls and corners are easy to build lines through later; blocks dumped in the middle split the board into awkward pockets.
• Place awkward shapes on your terms. Corner pieces and long bars are easiest to fit while the board is still open. Play them early — if you save them for later, the board decides for you.
• Protect your streak. When a big combo isn't on the table, look for a small, cheap line clear instead — keeping the streak bonus alive is often worth more than a slightly better layout.

Above all, remember that there is no clock. The single biggest upgrade for most players is simply slowing down: check every row and column that is one or two cells from complete before you commit a piece.
